Family Business Management Certificate Program
Family Business Institute and the Rutgers School of Business encourage lifelong learning, particularly as it relates to building the skills required to position your business for success. Family Business Institute offers a unique learning experience designed for current and future business decision makers in a family business.
The Family Business Management Certificate Program is a blended learning experience that provides business education with applied learning. Blended learning means that learners work through a series on online business courses while being coached by a Rutgers Advisor. The Advisors roles is to monitor progress, assign additional reading and case assignments, and ensure that learning is applied back to the most current and critical family business challenges facing the learner.
Course completion is approximately 3-4 months, requires no time away from the office and allows for learning to occur when most convenient. Cost of the Certificate is $1949.

Program Faculty
Dr. Bill Reynolds - FBMCP Advisor
Dr. Bill Reynolds has spent much of his professional career working with family businesses to improve their operational effectiveness. He was founding partner of a successful management consulting firm and was responsible for developing initiatives that resulted in well over $100 million in recurring business for its clients.
One of his major interests being continuing education for business professionals, at Rutgers University in Camden, he started the Rohrer Center for Management & Entrepreneurship, headed the team that started the original family business program at Rutgers-Camden, and pioneered the development of Rutgers online continuing education certificate programs. Bill has served as Interim Dean of the School of Business-Camden and more recently as head of the Rutgers Camden Small Business Incubator. Bill holds a doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania, a masters from Harvard University and a bachelors from Lafayette College
A lifelong resident of Camden County, Bill has been heavily involved in public service; serving in a number of elected and appointed positions including mayor, director of public works, library board of trustees president, and co-founder of a local community foundation.
